Sugar prices dropped by Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample supplies from mills, amid slowdown in buying by bulk consumers.

Market players said adequate stocks, following persistent supplies from mills, mainly led to the fall in the sweetener prices.

Besides, slowdown in buying by bulk consumers as well as retailers too weighed on prices, they said.
