Sugar prices up on increase buying

Sugar prices improved by Rs.20 per quintal in the national capital today following thin supply amid increased offtake.
Marketmen said restricted supply from mills against increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers mainly pushed up sweetner prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices enquired higher at Rs 3100-3350 and Rs 3090-3340 per quintal.
Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices gained from Rs 2950-3170 and Rs 2940-3160 to Rs 2960-3175 and Rs 2950-3165 per quintal.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,100-3,350, S-30 Rs 3,090-3,340.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,960-3,175; S-30 Rs 2,950-3,165.
Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3,075, Kinnoni 3,175, Asmoli 3,100, Dorala 3,080, Budhana 3,085, Thanabhavan 3,075, Dhanora 3,080, Simbholi 3,175, Modi Nagar Rs 3,050, Khatuli 3,140, Dhampur 3,040, Ramala 2,980, Bulandshar 3,070, Anupshar 2,960, Baghpat 2,980, Morna 2,915, Sakoti 3,000, Chandpur 3,045, Amroha N.T. And Nazibabad 2,970.
