Sugar prices up on seasonal demand, tight supply

Sugar millgate prices were up by another Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following increased buying by stockists amid tight supplies from mills.
Marketmen said increased demand from bulk consumers and retailers against pause in supplies from mills mainly kept sweetener prices higher.
In the millgate section, sugar Dhampur, Chandpur and Sakoti inched up by Rs 10 each to end at Rs 3,450, Rs 3,440 and Rs 3,450 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 33.00-41.00 per kg.
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,720-3,820, S-30 Rs 3,710-3,810.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,440-3,520, S-30 Rs 3,430-3,510.
