Sugar rebounds on good retail demand

Sugar prices rebounded at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on emergence of fresh buying by retailers amid higher festive offtake.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 4/29 to Rs 3,100/3,175 per quintal from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,071/3,171.
Medium sugar (M-30) also firmed up by Rs 2/20 to Rs 3,202/3,381 per quintal, as against Rs 3,200/3,361 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,100/3,175 (Rs 3,071/3,171.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,202/3,381 (Rs 3,200/3,361).
