Marketmen said revival of buying by bulk consumers and retailers driven by festive season, mainly pushed up sweetner prices but huge stocks position on increased supplies by mills, restricted gains.
Higher advices from adjoining states too helped to pushed up prices, they added.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices hardened by Rs 60 each to settle at Rs 3,140-3,340 and Rs 3,130-3,330 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Kinnoni, Dorala, Simbholi, Baghpat, Khatuli and Morana remained in keen demand and shot up by Rs 60 each to Rs 3,190, Rs 3,090, Rs 3,180, Rs 3,050, Rs 3,150 and Rs 3,050 per quitnal, respectively.

Prices of Asmoli rose by Rs 50 at Rs 3,150, followed by Anupshar and Mawana by Rs 40 each at Rs 3,010 and Rs 3,125 per quintal.
In line with better trend, sugar Chandpur, Bulandshar and Thanabhavan gained Rs 30 each at Rs 3,060, Rs 3,080 and Rs 3,060 per quintal, while sakoti by Rs 20 at Rs 3,030 per quintal.
