Sugar settles steady on little doing

After moving in a tight range on scattered demand, sugar prices ended steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today.
Higher supplies from mills against some demand from bulk consumers, helped sugar prices to end at previous levels, traders said.
Reports of higher production this marketing year so far also influenced sugar prices, they said.
Meanwhile, country's sugar production has increased by 14.27 per cent to 27.37 million tonnes till April of the 2014-15 marketing year, according industry body ISMA.
