ASI Dilip Burman and constable Bharat Tudu were suspended after the report of a departmental inquiry initiated against them found the duo at fault, they said, adding department proceedings would be initiated against the two officers.
Gopal Sardar, an alleged snatcher, was arrested from the Thakurpukur area on Saturday and had committed suicide on Sunday afternoon inside the lock up of Thakurpukur police station, following which an inquiry was ordered.
