Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today asked officials to find out how delivery of services like police verification and sanction of building plans under Right To Services Act can be improved.
Reviewing implementation of Right To Services (RTS) Act in a meeting held here, Badal said around 60 per cent performance was achieved in services like demarcation of land, police verification, sanction of building plans and others.
"This shows that either our timeline was unrealistic or something was wrong at the delivery end," he noted.
Badal asked the Chief Secretary to step up efforts to raise the satisfaction level in delivery of services to 99 per cent and above.
The deputy chief minister said from now on citizens applying for services will immediately get a message on mobile about the date when the service sought, will be delivered.
Meanwhile and official release said, as many as 1.5 crore citizens have availed services under RTS Act during its first year of implementation.
