While listening to the grievances of the people during a 'Sangat Darshan' (meeting people) programme here, he said the SAD-BJP government has taken corrective measures to ensure a crime-free environment in Punjab and has directed the state police administration to make sure that there should not be any pendency in the cases once brought to his notice.
He directed Principal Secretary P S Aujla to personally look into the pendency of such complaints and submit a status report to him in the next week's 'Sangat Darshan'.
To resolve the grievances of Punjab residents living in and around New Delhi, Badal announced that similar 'Sangat Darshan' programmes will be held in Punjab Bhawan at Delhi every Saturday.
Terming the programme as a "fruitful exercise", he said people are benefited as they are able to get their pending issues resolved immediately.
