The move comes close on the heels of suspension of four government officials in this connection.
"The Chhattisgarh government has transferred Sukma Collector Lakda as Joint Secretary in the Mantralaya last evening and he will be replaced by Chief Executive Officer of Bilapsur Zila Panchayat Neeraj Kumar Bansod," a government official said.
Sukma district administration's food officer K R Pisda, food inspectors Dron Kumar Kamde as well as Sanjay Kumar Kaushik and revenue inspector Ramesh Kumar Sahu were suspended on Tuesday for their alleged failure to check the quality of food commodities supplied to Jagargunda on October 1.
Last week, the Sukma administration had sent ration commodities in around 20 trucks from Dornapal to Jagargunda, which is one of the worst Maoist-hit regions in South Bastar.
Escorted by over 1,000 personnel of paramilitary forces and the district police, the ration commodities were delivered at its destination after covering 50 km of dense forest cover.
Rice, pulses, potatoes, edible oil, onions, gram, soaps and detergents were among the ration consignments meant for around seven villages.
