Sultry day in Delhi, max temp crosses 36 mark

The national capital witnessed a sultry day today with the maximum temperature settling at 36.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, even as humidity oscillated between 89 and 52 per cent, the MeT Department said.
The city did not record any rainfall between 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM.
The MeT office has predicted generally cloudy skies for tomorrow.
"The skies will be generally cloudy. Thundery development may occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 35 and 25 degrees Celsius tomorrow respectively," the MeT forecast said.

Yesterday, the city's maximum had settled at 33.9 degrees Celsius even as the minimum was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius.
