Mercury also rose to a high of 38.4 degree Celsius, 2.9 points up from yesterday's 35.5 deg C and one degree above normal for this part of the season.
However, minimum temperature continued to remain three notches below normal, settling at 25.3 deg C, which was nominally up from previous day's 24.8 deg C.
Humidity oscillated between 40 and 92 per cent.
