The placement season not only witnessed an upward swing of 32 per cent to Rs 1.06 lakh in the average stipend, but also saw niche roles being offered to the students, a release from the IIM-K said.
Boston Consulting Group, which participated for the first time, recruited five students for its consulting role offering the highest stipend of Rs 3 lakh, it said.
While Deutsche Bank, Ernest and Young, HUL, JP Morgan, Philips and Vodafone were the top recruiters with 52 offers, new recruiters like Accenture Strategy, Nestle, Shell, Perfetti Van Melle, Boehringer Ingelheim and Sony reposed their faith in the talent pool at IIMK, the release said.
TAS, Mahindra, Airtel, Reliance and RPG provided general management roles to the students across varied sectors.
Diverse roles in finance, investment banking, risk advisory, global investment research, retail banking and capital markets were offered by companies like Deutsche Bank, J P Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Axis Bank, HSBC, Nomura, ICICI, CRISIL, Edelweiss, Dell Finance with 21 per cent of the batch securing offers in these roles, the release added.
