Summer rains bring respite to Kodai residents

: Heavy showers lashed the hill resort town of Kodaikanal in Dindigul district, after a dry spell of more than two months, officials said today.
The summer rains, which lashed the hill station even as the sun was shining, brought relief to the residents who have been reeling under extreme and unusually hot temperature.
The climate in the town was cool after the short spell of rain, which lasted for about 20 minutes, officials added.
