Sun Pharma shares bounce back, surges over 4%

Shares of Sun Pharma bounced back sharply today, rising over 4 per cent, on value buying and its subsidiary receiving approval for Tobramycin from the European Medicines Agency.
The stock gained 4.31 per cent to end at Rs 649.30 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 4.65 per cent to Rs 651.50.
On NSE, shares of the company went up by 4.21 per cent to close at Rs 649.30.
The stock was the top gainer among the bluechips on both Sensex and Nifty.
On the volume front, 5.21 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 61 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
The stock had lost over 4 per cent in the previous session on disappointing earnings.
The approval for the product was received by company's wholly owned subsidiary firm from the European Medicines Agency, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries said in a filing to BSE today.
