Goa Sunburn Festival 2015, slated later this month, will be special one as the Asia's largest EDM (electronic dance music) event is celebrating ninth anniversary of its inception.
"We are in the ninth edition this year. The significant part is that this is the end of season nine. From coming year, we will begin season ten," Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept, said here today.
The event, organised by Percept, will be held at Vagator beach between December 27-30.
He said celebrations will be held throughout the next year to mark the tenth anniversary of the festival.
"In last nine years, the festival has become the third largest after Tomorrowland and Ultra Miami," Singh said.
He said the EDM festival is fast spreading and no more confined to Goa only.

"There is a perception that Sunburn happens only in Goa but it is not true. We are holding it across 78 cities in a total 181 events," Singh said, adding the festival has travelled to places like Kolhapur and Ranchi, indicating how EDM fans are scattered even in these places.
He said Sunburn will continue to love Goa as "it was born in Goa, is pride of Goa and is product of Goa".
Singh said IPL and Sunburn are "glocal" events as they are produced locally but being "honoured" globally.
"Sunburn Goa 2015 has broken international sales records as well as geographical boundaries with an aim to unite music lovers, and will host patrons from over 42 countries at the event this year, which is confirmed by an international ticketing service, Viagogo," he added.
The forthcoming extravaganza will have biggest global EDM line-up featuring renowned DJs like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Kygo, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Aly&Fila and Bassjackers.
"Apart from these renowned artists, others like KSHMR, Dyro, Felix Jaehn, Headhunterz, and Sam Feldt will debut for the very first time in India," Singh said.
