Sunken dhow located; no trace of three missing fishermen

The Coast Guard today located the cargo laden dhow which sank yesterday, 26 nautical miles off Ponnani in Malappuram district, but were yet to trace the three persons reported missing.
A Coast Guard ship and a Dornier aircraft were pressed into service to locate the dhow, Coast Guard said.
Earlier in the day two persons were rescued and hospitalised.
The dhow, with an eight member crew was en route to Lakshadweep Islands from nearby Beypore when it sank 24 nautical miles off the coast in the Arabian sea after developing a leak.
Three persons were rescued yesterday.
