A bright sunny day brought respite to people in Delhi today from the biting cold with the maximum temperature settling at 19 degrees Celsius, close to the normal mark for this part of the season.
The weatherman has, however, predicted dense fog for tomorrow morning.
According to the MeT department, the maximum temperature recorded was just one notch below normal and substantially up from yesterday's 14.7 degrees Celsius.
However, Delhiites had woken up to a cold morning as minimum temperature was at 5.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal and fog continued to disrupt train operations.
Yesterday, it was recorded at 11 degree Celsius, which was three points above normal.
"Shallow fog was observed in the national capital in the early hours and visibility was recorded at 400 meters at 8:30 AM," a MeT official said.
