Sunny Sidhu leads in Xtreme category on Day 4 of Desert Storm

Team Mahindra Adventure's Sunny Sidhu, in his modified factory-supported XUV 500, continued to lead in the Xtreme category on day four of the 12th Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm car rally.
Chandigarh's Sidhu, with his navigator P V Srinivasa Murthy, enjoyed a trouble-free run to lead the Xtreme category, followed by Delhi's Sandeep Sharma, driving a Maruti Gypsy.
Satish Gopalkrishnan and Savera D'Souza, driving a Grand Vitara for Team Maruti Suzuki, were leading Rally Ndure.
At the second place were Somdeb Chanda and navigator Nirav Mehta, driving a Maruti Gypsy, while Pranab Bhaduri with navigator Dibendu Nayak were at the third position.
In Xplore category, Rajesh Chalana and Yogesh Gupta were leading, driving an SX4. Second was Nitin Yadav with navigator Ravi Bansal in a Tata Aria, while Sanjay Takale and Mustafa, who were leading the category till yesterday, dropped to the third position after Takale lost his way in the desert.
In the two-wheeler category, Bangalore's CS Santosh continued to lead, followed by Helmut Frauwallner of Austria and Trivikram Singh Rathore.
The Desert Storm, which has around 250 participants this year traverses 2200 kms through the Sardarshahar, Bikaner, Chattargarh, Jaisalmer, Sam, Pokharn, Gajnaur, Kagsar, Lakshmangarh, and finally culminate at Jaipur on March 1.
This year's Desert Storm will run in two different routes -- one for the Xtreme and Ndure, and two for the Xplore category.
