Supply inspector arrested on bribery charges

A supply inspector was arrested on bribery charges and Rs 25,100 alleged bribe money was seized from him in a raid conducted in Kishanganj district of Bihar today.
The raid was led by Kishanganj District Magistrate Animesh Kumar Parashar and the arrested supply inspector has been identified as Upendra Mandal who was posted at Kochadhaman block.
The raid was initiated on the complaint of JD(U) MLA Mujahid Alam.
"Mandal was arrested from his residence in Line Mohalla at district headquarters. Several public distribution system dealers had complained that he demanded money for releasing food grain," Parashar said.
Mandal was interrogated about his dealings and produced in the local court from where he was forwarded to judicial custody.
