An orthopaedic surgeon died after the scooter he was riding allegedly skidded on a speed-breaker which was built an hour earlier.
The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday night when the deceased, Pramod Chandra (65), was returning home from his clinic. He allegedly lost the control of his scooter on a newly built speed-breaker near the Judge Court campus.
Chandra was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of accident.
Executive Engineer (PWD) Anil Gupta said the speed- breaker was higher than normal and there was no warning sign over it.
PWD here has awarded an adverse entry to the concerned engineer for the lapse, he added.
