Surjit Kumar Chaudhury appointed Secretary, NCM

Surjit Kumar Chaudhury, a 1980 batch IAS officer from Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Minorities (NCM).
Chaudhury, who is at present serving in Tamil Nadu, has been appointed in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, a press release issued today by Ministry of Personnel said.
He comes in the place of Bindu Agnihotri, a 1978 batch officer of Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS). Agnihotri has assumed the charge of Additional Controller General of Defence Accounts from this month.
