Surprised Bihar MLAs flock to Nitish residence

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's resignation immediately sparked off protest among the JD (U) ministers and MLAs with one legislator even threatened to immolate himself.
Several of them present in the state capital flocked to his official residence of 1, Aney Marg to stamp their dis-approval of this step.
One particular legislator even threatened to immolate himself if the Chief Minister did not withdraw his resignation.
"I will immolate myself if he doesn't revoke his decision. We don't approve this. We won't let him quit," said Tarari MLA Narendra Pandey alias Sunil Pandey after reaching the CM's residence.
As other MLAs and police officials pulled him away from the spot, Information Technology and Minorities Welfare Minister Shahid Ali Khan said, "The JD (U) MLAs will never accept Nitish Kumar leaving the Chief Minister's post. For the welfare of Bihar he should not quit."
Valmiki Nagar MLA Rajesh Singh expressed his surprise and said that he rushed to on hearing about the resignation.
"All legislators of our party are with Nitish Kumar. We will request him to rethink about the decision at the JD (U) legislature party meet tomorrow," said Singh.
