The company, which will launch its products within two months, is targeting revenue worth Rs 100 crore from the segment in two years.
"We plan to enter the category because of strong synergies between lighting and home products by virtue of having the same traders and distributors of our lighting products and also the market is still wide open for quality products," Surya Roshni Managing Director Raju Bista told PTI.
The company started testing market in the home appliances category with the launch of fans early this year and plans to introduce a range of water heaters, dry iron, steam iron and mixer grinders.
Surya Roshni had reported a turnover of Rs 4,000 crore in the last financial year.
