"The farmers in the state have suffered 100 per cent damage to their crops. The Centre should give adequate assistance to them," said Swaraj, who was here to attend a wedding.
Talking to the reporters, she also praised the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for making a provision of Rs 2,000 crore in the vote-on-account for providing relief to the farmers.

Swaraj said that Madhya Pradesh which was getting 'Krishi Karman' award for highest agricultural production for the last two years may not be able to get it the next year because of the extensive damage due to the recent rains and hailstorms.
Meanwhile, police summoned three employees of a private company for welcoming Swaraj by stopping her convoy after she arrived in a helicopter on the firm's premises, as the act violated security norms.
