Suspected Maoist from Jharkhand arrested

A 36-year-old suspected Maoist, who hails from Jharkhand and was wanted in connection with several cases was arrested near here today, police said.
Surendra Yadav of Jharkhand was apprehended by police following a tip-off and he was picked from Sriperumbudur near here, police said.
He had been living here for about a year as a construction worker in the industrial hub of Sriperumbudur, they said, adding there are 17 cases pending against him.
Yadav, also wanted in Chattisgarh and Bihar, was produced before a local court which allowed his transfer to Jharkhand, police said.
