Singapore police said today that 51-year-old Tan, also known as Tan Seet Eng, was arrested yesterday for "involvement in criminal activities."
He was previously released from jail today when the country's highest court ruled he was being held unlawfully.

Hamidul Haq, one of Tan's Lawyers, told The Associated Press he was yet to learn of the specific charges relating to the new arrest.
