arrested in a village at Tamil Nadu-Kerala border and two guns, three bullets besides a country bomb seized from him, forest officials said.
Three others, who had accompanied the suspected poacher, Pandi, however, managed to escape from the Vedikaranparai village near Cumbum.
Forest officials suspect that Pandi could be a helper for Naxals roaming in the deep forest area. The country bomb was made using cracker chemicals.
Officials were monitoring the border area to prevent and curb movement of Naxalites on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border.
Local people have been instructed to inform authorities about the movement of strangers.
