Suspended Congress leader meets Antony; presents his case

: Former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana,suspended from the Congress for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Telangana Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and state in charge R C Khuntia, met senior leader A K Antony in Delhi Thursday and presented his case.

Talking to reporters in the national capital, he alleged that Reddy needs to go in the party's interest.

"Uttam Kumar Reddy 'Shani' must go from this party," he said.

Satyanarayana said he presented his case to Antony.

The Congress Sunday suspended Satyanarayana from the party for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Uttam Kumar Reddy and Khuntia.

He was suspended with immediate effect for an indefinite period, a senior party functionary had said.

"He made objectionable remarks against Uttam Kumar Reddy and Khuntia in the party's Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency review meet. He also threw a water bottle on a general secretary. Satyanarayana used abusive language against some leaders in the meeting," Telangana PCC Disciplinary Committee chairman M Kodanda Reddy had said.
