The company had sold 24,703 units in the same month last year, SMIPL said in a statement.
"The growth was fuelled by a strong domestic performance, where the sales for Suzuki two-wheelers grew by 78 per cent over last year," it said.
For the ongoing fiscal, SMIPL said it would be targeting sale of 5 lakh units for which it was gearing up its product line-up, expanding dealership networks and also becoming aggressive on exports.
Suzuki has a stronger positive outlook for the future and expects to maintain its growth momentum in this fiscal, the statement said.
