'Swachh Bharat's success at Challapalli will inspire country'

Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said the success of 'Swachh Bharat' at Challapalli village will inspire the country.
Naidu, Minister for Urban Development, inspected various activities taken up by volunteers of the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign at Challapalli village in Krishna district.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been appraised about the 'Swachha Challapalli' programme, which was successful in the village.
Taking inspiration from 'Swachh Bharat' campaign, voluntary organisations, local leaders and activists with the help of students and youth, clean all places in the village on a regular basis under the 'Swachha Challapalli' programme which has completed a year.
The minister said the Centre has constructed toilets for 13.77 crore students in the last one-and-half years (after NDA came to power).
Naidu also unveiled statue of Pingali Venkayya, who designed the National Flag, at a government high school in the village in the presence of Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad, AP Ministers Kamineni Srinivas, K Ravindra and others.
