RSS-affiliated Swadeshi Jagran Manch today called for a complete boycott of Chinese products and demanded higher anti-dumping duty to discourage imports from that country.
"Cheap Chinese imports have extremely hurt the Indian economy. Indian government should impose much higher anti-dumping duty on their products," the Manch's national co-convener Kashmiri Lal said in a press conference.
This way Indian products would become cheaper than Chinese products, he said.
"Our businessmen are worst affected bycheap Chinese imports and their illegal sale in the country," he claimed, adding the rising non-performing assets of Indian businessmen was a fallout of Chinese imports.
"China is a staunch supporter of Pakistan. The Union government must discourage imports because when surgical strikes were carried out on terror launch pads in PoK, China was supportive of Pakistan even when most nations supported us," he alleged.
"Imposing heavy anti-dumping duty on Chinese imports will boost the Indian economy. It will help in preparing a market of Rs 10 lakh crore for solar energy products and appliances which India will export and beat China in this sector," he claimed.
China has launched 17 branded mobile handsets which will also be affected from the anti-dumping duty and boycott in the long run, he said.
"China has special units to wage a cyber war and steal secret information related to defence, banking and other sectors across the world," Lal added.
