The demonstration was launched when a meeting of BJP's state executive committee led by BJP Punjab President Kamal Sharma was being held here.
Swarna Ram's supporters, in his absence, demanded an apology from Som Parkash as one of his supporters, Rakesh Duggal, in a press conference a week ago had allegedly dubbed the rival group as spent up cartridges.
Parkash was also present in that conference.
Raising slogans against Prakash, who is also Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Local Bodies of the state, the protesters even tried to move towards the venue of the BJP meeting but were stopped by the heavy police force deployed there.
Former district BJP President Tejasvi Bhardwaj, party's former Phagwara Block President Chander Mohan Chawla, former Zila Parishad member Avtar Singh Mand among others participated in today's protest.
