Swine flu claims 23 lives in Punjab

As many as 23 deaths have been recorded due to swine flu this year in Punjab, government said today.
"The number of suspected patients stand at 152, those who tested positive are 61 and 23 people have died due to the disease," a government spokesman said here.
The Centre has come up with exhaustive guidelines for the states to follow for curbing the H1N1 outbreak, he said.
Health workers have been asked to screen people with symptoms of the flu on the basis of their severity and categorise them, he said.
