Symphony Q4 net up over 26% at Rs 32.73 crore

Company had reported a net profit of Rs 25.90 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal

Home appliance firm Symphony Ltd today reported a 26.37% increase in standalone net profit at Rs 32.73 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company, which follows July to June period as financial year, had reported a net profit of Rs 25.90 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

Symphony's net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 150.63 crore, up 35.49% as against Rs 111.17 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a BSE filing.

Overall expenses during the quarter stood at Rs 107.02 crore compared to Rs 80.50 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

For full year, the company reported net profit of Rs 98.87 crore as against Rs 62.68 crore in the previous financial year.

In the July-June 2014, the company's net sales stood at Rs 451.22 crore compared with Rs 308.33 crore in the previous fiscal year.

The board of the company has recommended final dividend of Rs 11 per equity share, Symphony said.

Shares of Symphony Ltd were trading at Rs 1092.40 apiece in the afternoon trade, up 0.06% from previous close on the BSE.
