The event, held yesterday, was organised by the Delhi Jal Board in collaboration with University of Virginia and was part of the overall effort to clean the Yamuna river.
The University of Virginia has signed a five-year MoU with the Delhi Jal Board to map out an expansive, multidisciplinary prescription to rehabilitate the pollution-choked river.
"We hope that the Yamuna River project will lay the groundwork for many additional collaborations in India in the future," said Teresa A Sullivan, President of University of Virginia.
