The state government proposes to provide Rs 4,000 per acre each season to both agriculture and horticulture farmers towards input costs, including purchase of seeds and fertilizers, under the scheme.
"The Chief Minister took a decision for setting up of Grama (village), Mandala (mandal), Zilla (district) and Rashtra Rytu Samnvaya Samithis (farmers coordination committees) through nomination by the government...," a Government Order (GO) said here.
Several state ministers have been nominated by the government for finalising the members and coordinators for Revenue Village, Mandal, District level farmers' coordination panels by September 9, the GO said.
It is also planned to provide Rs 500 crore of revolving fund to the state level farmers coordination committee for undertaking MSP-related operations and also to "enhance their bargaining power in villages and mandals," the GO added.
