'T-Works' expected to come up by next year, says KTR

Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Ramarao today said 'T-Works', an incubator for e-hardware startups, is expected to come up by the next year.
Speaking at the '17th India Design Summit' organised by CII here, the Minister said "T-Works will allow entrepreneurs to collaborate and create new offerings in the filed."
He said currently, collaboration and open sourcing are making an unprecedented opportunity available for hardware entrepreneurship as it did for software based entrepreneurship a few years ago.
The two-day summit is organised by Confederation of Indian Industry along with the National Institute of Design and the Telangana government.
The minister also gave away the CII Design Excellence Awards 2017 to the winners.
Naushad Forbes, Immediate Past President of CII, and Chairman of India Design Council quoting statistics said India produces hardly about 5,000 designers every year whereas South Korea with just 3 per cent of India's population produces around 25,000 designers per year.
