The deceased has been identified as Arun, who has participated in several national level taekwondo events.
The incident came to light yesterday night after Arun's father approached Rohini (South) police station to lodge a missing complaint and a body recovered by the police from near a prominent hospital in the area earlier in the day turned out to be his son's, police said.
A case of murder was registered in connection with the matter, following which a police team was constructed to nab a youth named Ranjit and a momo vendor in the area, who are the prime suspects in the case.
The argument turned into a scuffle during which one of them allegedly smashed a bottle on Arun's head.
The accused then carried Arun till Jaipur Golden hospital there and left him near a garbage dump, where he succumbed to his injuries.
His body was found on Friday morning but identity could not be ascertained until his father approached later in the evening to lodge missing complaint, police added.
