"We all remember how some clips, purportedly of a film, were posted on You.Tube and the debate it followd. My film has references to that incident which triggered debates and what is right and wrong in art," Bhowmik said.
"We did not perhaps think about the person who became the centre of all attention and that too unwanted attention by a section," Moinak, known to be a woman sensitive director having filmed 'Ami Aaar Amar Girlfriends' pointing out how women need to have their own space, said.
"None but Swastika (Mukherjee) could portray the role with such conviction. The angst, anguish and yet the fire within of a woman who can only turn back in such situations.
"But metaphorically speaking it can be every woman's story in another sense," the Bedroom maker said.
"I had instant liking for the story the moment Moinak narrated it. Also I always say, you are a man with rare sensibilities of a woman," the Jaatiswar Radio Jockey, fired with the ambition to retrieve the lost hearitage of Bengal, said.
"In fact I don't comprehend the hypocrisy of a society which criticizes a woman for her act before the camera and yet relishes the scenes in private domain," Swastika said. Take One will be released by this month.
