According to a survey by Randstad Technologies, 95 per cent of the 600 HR leaders in the IT sector said talent analytics, which includes utilisation of various software tools to manage several people-related aspects, would be a key factor in companies' retention strategies going forward.
Talent analytics utilises algorithms to accurately match candidates' capabilities with job descriptions for forecasting requirements, talent mapping, succession planning & analysis of HR metrics like attrition and time to fill a post.
As per the survey, some of the other critical success factors to retain and nurture talent include defined career and growth plans, followed by compensation and benefits and a culture that fosters innovation.
The survey further said though HR leaders mentioned that HR is fully aligned with their organisation's vision and strategy, less than a third say HR is a strategic partner to business.
"Getting the right talent is at the top of a CEO's agenda and owing to the criticality of this, HR has clearly earned a place in the boardroom today. The role of HR is more important than ever," Moorthy K Uppaluri, MD & CEO, Randstad India said.
