The programme is open for racing aspirants between 18 years to 25 years, and is conducted via a nationwide evaluation process based on different criterion like race track training, racing acumen, racing aptitude and accomplishments, by Vicky Chandhok and his team.
The jury members will shortlist 24 participants who will be adjudged against each other to qualify for the final six slots. The elimination rounds will be conducted on August 7 and the grand finale on August 8.
The winner of the 'Mercedes-Benz Young Star Driver' gets an opportunity to win a seat in the AMG Driving Academy PRO-Training in Germany. The runners-up get the popular AMG Driving Academy BASIC & ADVANCED course in India.
The winner also gets to meet F1 racing stars and Mercedes Formula One team drivers Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg, in any of the F1 race this year.
