The first incident reported from Lakki Marwat district where police launched a search and strike operation against the militants of the outlawed terrorist outfit, killing Taliban commander Gul Rauf, who was carrying a reward of Rs two million on his head.
Police Spokesman said Rauf was an important commander of the banned terror outfit who was killed during intelligence based police search and strike operation at Takhtikhel in the premise of Naurang police station in Lakki Marwat.
Rauf was wanted by the police after he had escaped from a jail. The provincial government had declared a reward of Rs two million on his head.
He was wanted in over 30 bomb explosions, murder, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom and robbery related cases, police said, adding that he would commit robbery and dacoity on highways in disguise of security forces.
