CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today said the cancellation of NSA-level talks between Indian and Pakistan would only encourage those who want to undermine the peace process to widen the wedge between both the sides.
"Cancellation of proposed talks between the National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan will only oblige those who want to undermine the peace process," Tarigami said in a statement here.
The MLA from Kulgam further said "it will not only encourage but promote the fundamentalists and extremists of all hues on both sides of the divide to widen the wedge between the two neighbouring countries".
Tarigami appealed the leadership of India and Pakistan not to fall prey to domestic partisan pressures and urged them to initiate the dialogue process at the earliest.
