ULFA pro-talk faction chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa today claimed that the discussion on the extradition of its leader Anup Chetia, who is in jail in Bangladesh, was over.
"The discussion is almost over for extradition of Chetia. Only a few formalities are left," Rajkhowa told reporters here after a meeting of its leaders. He, however, did not say when Chetia was likely to be brought to India.
Asked about his reported difference with ULFA military chief Paresh Barua, Rajkhowa said, "At personal level, I do not have any difference with him. We pro-talk people enjoy very good relations with him."
He said there were differences at the organisational level which was very natural as opinions of different people varied.
The meeting was attended by top leaders including Pradip Gogoi, Pranati Deka, Sasha Choudhury, Raju Baruah, Chitrabon Hazarika and Mithinga Daimary.
