Irfan and Mukul Misra were arrested by a joint team of Aliganj police and Special Operations Group from Ambedkarnagar district, home department spokesman said.
The police also claimed to have recovered the weapon used in the crime, a .32 bore revolver, he said.
During investigation, names of three persons had come to the light, the spokesman said, adding that hunt was on to nab the remaining accused.
Curfew was clamped in Tanda on March 4 following large scale protests and arson over the killing of the district president of Hindu Yuva Vahini Ram Babu Gupta.
