Tania Zaetta seeks better film ties between India-Australia

Australian actress Tania Zaetta, who starred in Bollywood films like 'Bunty Aur Babli' and 'Salaam Namaste', says film connection between the two countries needed to improve further.
"The research says that the first 30 days of 'Salaam Namaste' released in India, visa applications from India went up by 17 per cent," Zaetta claimed while attending an Indian event here last night.
"It just goes to show the enormity and power of Bollywood films," she said.
Zaetta whose first film was 'Bunty aur Babli', said films were the best medium to showcase what Australia can offer in terms of education and tourism.

She sought Australian government to open up and offer bigger incentives for Bollywood movies to come to Australia to shoot.
Fondly remembering her co-stars Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan and Arshad Warsi, Zaetta said that she was now based in Melbourne and would pursue her acting career from here.

"I have few projects in the pipeline," she said.
Zaetta also appeared in 'Dil Apna Punjabi' with Harbhajan Mann in 2006.
In 'Bunty Aur Babli', her opening scene was with Amitabh Bachchan in front of Taj Mahal but Zaetta said she missed the chance to meet him when he visited Down Under.

"I missed the opportunity to meet Amitabh Bachchan because I did not know he was here," Zaetta said.
In 2005 when 'Salaam Namaste' was released, India was already the largest source of International students for Australia and close to 28000 students enrolled in Australian educational institutions.
