Supporters of 40-year-old Tanwar and former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had clashed near Bhairon Mandir in central Delhi around 5.30 PM on Thursday, half an hour before Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was due to arrive, after finishing his 'Deoria to Delhi Kisan Yatra'.
He was then admitted to Ram Maonohar Lohia Hospital.
"He was shifted to the SGRH at 4 PM," hospital authorities said today.
"His condition is stable but he is under observation," according to Dr D S Rana, Chairman (Board of Management), Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
An FIR was yesterday lodged against supporters of Hooda after Tanwar's supporters filed a complaint against them at the Tilak Marg Police Station.
Also, yesterday, there was an argument between Tanwar's supporters and RML Hospital authorities, following which the number of bouncers deployed there were increased.
