The incident happened yesterday when the woman, identified as Rashid Biwa Ramdhanni (36), was intercepted by Central Industrial Security Force officials when she reached the airport to board a flight to Addis Ababa.
On suspicion, Ramdhanni, a Tanzanian national, was subjected to a thorough frisking following which 68 packets containing narcotics were recovered from her baggage, a senior official said.
"The narcotic drug was found to be Pseudoephedrine, a drug widely abused, and the packets weighed a total of 22.7kg. She was later handed over by the CISF team to anti-narcotics sleuths,"the official added.
