Tarigami submits resolution for probe into civilian killings

CPIM leader M Y Tarigami today submitted a resolution in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly demanding setting up of an inquiry panel headed by a retired Supreme Court judge to probe therecent civilian killings in the Valley.
He also submitted two more resolutions urging the central government to initiate a process of "structured dialogue" with all stakeholders to find a solution to the Kashmir issue and ban the use of pellet guns by security forces to meet any law and order situation.
The assembly session will begin here on January 2 and conclude on February 4.
Tarigami also submitted a private members bill seeking amendments to sections 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 of the stringent Jammu Kashmir Public Safety Act.
